Ambar Navarro
Los Angeles based film director and animator originally from San Antonio, TX. She moved to attend the California Institute of the Arts and earned a B.F.A. at the California Institute of the Arts in Experimental Animation.
Her filmmaking combines a colorful theatrical on-set feel mixed with miniatures, stop-motion, and incorporated with online tech. Her films have premiered on NPR and OUT and range from music video, documentary, to narrative. When she's not directing or editing films, she can be seen photographing musicians for magazines included Nylon Japan, Bullett Magazine, Issue Magazine, Polyester, and IN Mag. She has shot Neon Indian, Kreayshawn, HANA, and more.
