With the sun now setting at 5 PM every night, it was hard for me to come up with a playlist that doesn’t embody the somewhat grey weather we’ve been experiencing here in LA. My mood has shifted even more with the recent passing of Pete Shelley, lead singer and proud bisexual of the UK punk band Buzzcocks. They were the first band I ever listened to that acknowledged masturbation and raging hormones; they taught me that it’s normal to feel horny. This, along with Tumblr’s announcement that adult content will be flagged and taken down moving forward, made it seem timely to create a playlist of songs about lust, love, and sadness.
