Chella Man is an 18 year old, deaf, queer, genderqueer, trans masculine artist.
Based in Brooklyn, they currently attends The New School with a focus in Virtual Reality Programming at Parsons School of Design and Economics at Eugene Lang College. Graduating from high school a year early and being accepted into the BFA / BA dual degree program, Chella had already been collaborating with many artists, modeling, and begun transitioning on testosterone.
Growing up, they lived in Central Pennsylvania, a very narrow minded location. Feeling alone there, they turned to art to feel connected to the world. For this reason, their life has always revolved around art.
"Art has always been my catharsis. I have faced many struggles in my life due to my disability, queerness, and gender. My art reflects the way I perceive the world. It is mutable. Through my work, I take charge. “
