How to wind down and de-stress

Let's face it: in 2017, relaxation has been increasingly hard to come by. With more pressure on young people than ever before and a worldwide state of affairs that seems increasingly bonkers, it's hard to fully unplug and de-dress at the end of the day. Fortunately, we've got this handy little video to help out those of you who need some ideas as to how to take time for yourself.

Sort of a how-to guide combined with a slice-of-life meditation, this video follows its unseen protagonist throughout her after-school activities: from decluttering to going for a run, our hero shows us that sometimes relaxation isn't just a state of mind; it's an active choice.

Need help de-stressing? Here are some ideas from Meshall's video:

  • Put on some relaxing music.
  • De-clutter your space.
  • Vent your thoughts in a journal.
  • Get some exercise.
  • Get cozy: make a pillow fort and bundle yourself in blankets!
  • Make comfort food.
