After hearing about NARS’ recent decision to sell their cosmetics in China (where animal testing is required by law), I was pretty upset. I had been a big fan of NARS cosmetics for a while, and was concerned when thinking about how I would replace the products I already owned and loved from this brand. However, through the process of swatching products in  Sephora and searching high and low for swatches on the internet, I have come up with some fantastic cruelty free dupes for my favorite NARS products!

NARS Radiant Creamy ConcealerFirst and foremost: NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer is so widely loved that it is actually the number-one bestselling concealer on the Sephora website. Seems like a tough act to follow, right? Well, not quite.

There are definitely drugstore dupes for this concealer, but most if not all of the direct dupes are not cruelty-free. So, if you’re willing to spend the money on the NARS concealer in the first place, these dupes are very similar in price, and in quality. 

First, let’s take a look at Sephora’s second-best selling product: Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is a fierce competitor and lovely cruelty-free dupe for the NARS concealer we know and love.

Too Faced’s Born This Way Concealer also has a similar texture and coverage to the NARS concealer. The Too Faced and Urban Decay products are fairly similar in terms of similarity to the NARS concealer, price, and quality, so either works great, although Too Faced recently expanded their shade range.

The number-one best selling concealer on Ulta’s website offers up a third option: Tarte’s Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer. This is the cheapest concealer dupe, coming in at $25 (which I realize is really not that cheap I’m sorry!). This has taken the internet by storm--some YouTubers even seem to prefer it to the NARS concealer! It is definitely a very high coverage product and a little really, really goes a long way, so if that is what you look for in a concealer, go for this one.

Now, I know that this blush and bronzer combo is super popular, but I am pretty sure that this is the perfect dupe--and good news: it’s cheap. The e.l.f. Aqua Beauty Aqua Infused Blush & Bronzer is only $6.00--and on top of that, it’s vegan and cruelty-free! Yay! (Pro-tip: if you’re looking for a near-exact dupe of NARS’ Orgasm/Laguna shade, I recommend Bronzed Peach.)

NARS Lip Gloss in Orgasm

This NARS lip gloss is one of my favorite lip products ever. It’s such a pretty shade, and when I realized I wouldn’t be buying it again I worried I would never be able to find a color match. Enter: Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in Sunny Day. Not only is it cruelty-free and a near-exact shade match, at $8.99 it’s also cheaper!

NARS Blush in Orgasm

It’s not hard to understand why this NARS blush is a cult favorite. Fortunately, the cruelty-free dupe for this one is probably right under your nose at CVS. NYX Powder Blush in Pinched is a beautiful dupe, right down to being a perfect shade match--and, most importantly, it’s only $5!

NARS Liquid Blush

NARS recently released their new Liquid Blushes, and I know I was not alone in being super excited by this release. However, I have found some pretty excellent dupes to these blushes: Glossier’s Cloud Paint blushes are pretty incredible, and the shades actually match up fairly well to the shade selection of the NARS Liquid Blushes.
