Francesca Blue is a portrait photographer born and raised in Austin, Texas. However, she spent many of her elementary school years living in a small town outside of Austin. Her experience growing up in these two very different political and cultural environments has shaped her interest in how people respond to sexuality, gender, religion, and fashion. Her work is highly inspired by the eccentric characters of small towns – and the need for these people to break free from norms and traditions. She hopes her work will inspire other young people to share their stories with the world. She loves 1970s and 1980s horror movies, collecting impractically wacky clothing, and helping people discover their value and self-love through photography.
