Everyone knows the best part of the holidays is the food. From handmade tamales to sumptuous roasted ham, the end of the year offers families across the world an opportunity to bust their culinary chops in hopes of impressing (or intimidating) their nearest and dearest. So if you're more motivated to partake in the festivities by the promise of a feast than by the thought of family togetherness, well, let's just say you're not alone. Karla Monterrosa understands, for one, and today's installment of This Week Inside My Body proves it.

Karla Monterrosa is an illustrator and animator from San Salvador, El Salvador. Her feminist art balances a whimsical style with subversive themes and content. Her work has been featured on Huffington Post and Gem Magazine, and she has worked on projects for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Hollywood Pantages Theater—not to mention rad websites and magazines like ours! Karla's comic for Adolescent.net gets published once a month.
