Double, double, toil and trouble! Fire burn and cauldron bubble...

Beware, for it's the season of the witch: we're talking spooky campfire spell circles and candlelit seances. But don't get too freaked out just yet: after all, witches are people too—and those spooky spells and potions you're so scared of may not be so alien after all... especially not if it's that time of the month.

Karla Monterrosa is an illustrator and animator from San Salvador, El Salvador. Her feminist art balances a whimsical style with subversive themes and content. Her work has been featured on Huffington Post and Gem Magazine, and she has worked on projects for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Hollywood Pantages Theater—not to mention rad websites and magazines like ours! Karla's comic for Adolescent.net gets published once a month.
