Twenty years ago today, Buffy The Vampire Slayer aired on The WB network (R.I.P.) for the very first time—and the internet is going all-out. There are lists of merch, greatest-hits roundups, and of course heartfelt odes to the show’s enduring influence on both its viewers and the culture at large. Even Anthony Stewart Head, the actor who played Buffy’s mentor Giles, is weighing in.
But if you really want to see the outpouring of celebration, take a look at Twitter. From fanart to bad-outfit screen caps to reactions from the Scooby Gang themselves, we’ve rounded up our 20 favorite Buffy tweets—one tweet for every year Buffy Summers has been in our lives.
As Buffy herself said so many years ago: “I may be dead, but I’m still pretty.”
