Statement from Xavier Mira:
I remember that it was my first day at university when this idea came to me. Our teacher said some words and we had to do a single video-piece in groups for each word he said. When I heard ‘love’, I started to think about how I have lived my life, what does love mean for me and how being part of the LGTBQI+ community has changed my life. Since I was a little kid people have yelled “faggot” at me a thousand times and now that adversity makes me feel like a stronger person. I have always been a creative person and I thought that I could express myself and my concept of love through this project for the assignment with two special classmates: Noelia and Adrián. Noelia has been by my side since then, trusting each other and helping each other always. She edited this short-film, but had to first understand what this film meant for me and why we filmed the things that we filmed.
