It’s the picture that broke Instagram records—and it’s not hard to see why. After years of those infamous lime green roots, Billie has opted for a total change of vibe. The softer blonde look is super pretty and totally brand new for her. She looks so good, in fact, that we want to recreate the look for ourselves.

Let’s start with the obvious—hair. It’s not really recommended to bleach your own hair, but if you already have light-colored hair, a warm-toned gloss can give you the slightly honeyed tone of Miss Eilish. I love both the Bleach London Super Cool Color in “Just Like Honey” and the Josh Wood Champagne Blonde Gloss for adding creamy tones and extra conditioning.

If it’s not the color you’re after, though, you can still emulate Billie’s effortless “cool girl” texture. Start by washing with the Bumble & Bumble Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and Cream Rinse Conditioner. These products are truly amazing at basically styling your hair while you wash—though if you want to add some more texture, the Amika Bushwick Beach No Salt Wave Spray gives volume and wave without drying out your hair. Smooth any flyaways with the Davines OI Oil.

Billie has the “skinimalism” thing down. She looks like she’s wearing no makeup, yet her skin also looks suspiciously perfect. One thing I’ve found to be helping a lot with my skin is the Dermaflash Dermapore. I’ve been skeptical of skincare tools in the past, but using this across my nose and chin has been working wonders in terms of gently loosening grime and unclogging pores. Even better, you can flip the device over and use it as a facial massager to help with skincare-product absorption afterward. Apply just a little too much of your moisturizer of choice (mine is and will always be the CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion) and take time massaging it in with the Dermapore. I promise, your skin will never have felt so soft and plumped.

Billie’s skin looks hydrated but matte, so something moussey like the La Roche Posay Effaclar BB Blur Cream is ideal. This offers a good amount of coverage, but it’s incredibly natural in finish and easy to blend with fingers. Add a hint of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer only where you absolutely need it for a barely-there look, blending out with a small soft kabuki like the Kevyn Aucoin The Soft Buff Brush.

I’m always a huge fan of eyebrows that don’t match your hair color, so blondes should totally experiment with a darker pomade like the Colourpop Brow Boss Gel in “Soft Black.” Once you’ve added enough color, you can go over the top with the Anastasia Brow Freeze to properly cement individual hairs into place.

Add some color and definition to the cheeks with the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand in “Peachgasm” and the Fenty Matchstixx in “Amber.” Place the Charlotte Tilbury high on the cheekbones to lift the cheeks in a more natural way, then focus the Fenty on only the deepest hollow of the cheekbones for definition that doesn’t look like obvious contour.

To get a softly dewy effect on the eyes without sticky gloss, first, apply a drop of the incredible KVD Beauty Shake High Impact Invisible Eyeshadow Primer. This primer is the weirdest but coolest thing, feeling like water but genuinely sticking down shadow and preventing creasing for hours. Over the top, using a finger dab on a wash of the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in “Frog.” This shadow has a sheer base color but is packed with reflective glitters that give the illusion of a slightly wet-looking lid. Add a touch of the Noto Botanics Hydra Highlighter in the inner corner to open up your eyes and make you look all bright and wide awake. Finish the eye look with a subtle mascara. The Glossier Lash Slick is always my top choice for this type of look, as it separates, lifts, and defines lashes without looking like you’ve applied mascara.

Finally, the lips. Take the NYX Lip Liner Pencil in “Pale Pink” to add some definition around your lip line. You can use the same color to fill in the lips for an even finish. Then take the Ilia Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil in “Only You” and apply it on the center of the lips. This will add some hydration and the shine will give the illusion of a plump, pouty mouth. Finish the look by donning your best hoodie and chain combo.
