Hi, Adolescent readers!
Behind the scenes, Adolescent has been undergoing some big changes over the past couple of months. More specifically, two new editors-in-chief were taken on. That’s where we come in!
Our names are Remi Riordan and Olivia Ferrucci and we’re the new editors of Adolescent’s digital platform. While we officially started in February, we wanted to settle in and get to know our writers before introducing ourselves to you--the readers! With all of that being said, here’s a little more about us.
I’m Olivia, and I’m a 17-year-old high school junior living in New Jersey. I founded Lithium Magazine when I was 15 and continue to serve as editor-in-chief today. I work two jobs, bake professionally, and am in my school’s IB program. After high school, I want to pursue writing while attending college in either New York City or California.
I’m Remi, and I’m an 18 (almost 19) year-old student at the University of Southern California studying Journalism and Photo. I’m the editor-in-chief of Crybaby Zine, an online and print zine for teens by teens. I founded it as a sophomore in high school and still run it today! Besides Adolescent and Crybaby, I work as a freelance writer and photographer and do odd jobs for the brand EVERYBODY.WORLD. Some fun facts about me are that I have a shopping problem, I love trashy television, and all things pop culture.
*Fun fact: Olivia and I have both been working with Adolescent for quite some time! Lithium and Crybaby both have partnerships and (hopefully) you’ve seen our content on the platform in the past!*
We are both so excited to be the new editors of Adolescent. We love the community that has already been cultivated and can’t wait to continue to grow.
