Much of my work is seen through the lens of girlhood. Like many women, I often find myself wondering how to gracefully navigate the complexities of femininity. Who am I as a woman? How do I nurture the little girl within me? How can I heal her, protect her, and empower myself as a woman in modern America? These questions are at the heart of my exploration of identity, femininity, and self-discovery.
As I dive deeper into these reflections, I also draw from moments that evoke specific memories or scenes—a book I’ve read, an encounter I’ve witnessed, or a fleeting moment that lingers in my mind. Each photograph is inspired by these moments of inspiration, capturing the delicate balance between innocence and experience. These images embody the feeling of youthful playfulness in romance, reminiscent of a time when love was organic, unfiltered, and full of possibility. They explore a raw, voyeuristic femininity—one that’s honest and unashamed of its vulnerabilities. Through this lens, I seek to capture the truth of womanhood, a journey that is both deeply personal and universally shared.
